The www.weadapt.org platform, including its microsites, (the “Website”)  is hosted by the Oxford Centre (SEI Oxford Office Ltd.) of Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), Oxford Eco Centre, Roger House, Osney Mead, Oxford, OX2 0ES. weADAPT can be contacted at [email protected]. These Terms of Use apply to any person viewing, posting on or otherwise using the Website in any way (the "User") in accordance with the Privacy Policy. By using the Website, the User agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

Appropriate Uses

SEI maintains and operates the Website as a service and resource for the benefit of stakeholders involved in climate change adaptation research, policy and practice. The User confirms that it has the right to publish the document on the Website and agrees for it to be reproduced and made publicly available on the Website by themselves or the weADAPT or microsite Knowledge Management teams. Any use of the Website by Users that would limit or impart the availability or quality of these services and resources is prohibited and SEI reserves the right to take any actions required to enforce this principle.

Assumption of Risk/Disclaimer of Warranties

SEI makes no guarantee of the veracity or appropriateness of any User-created content on the Website. The User acknowledges that SEI assumes no responsibility for oversight or monitoring of the User-created content that appears on the Website. SEI makes no warranty that the site will meet a User's individual needs, or that service will be timely, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. The User understands that any information or data downloaded through the Website is done at the User's sole risk, and that the User will be responsible for any damage or loss of data that may occur due to information or data obtained through the Website. SEI expressly disclaims all liability to any person in respect to anything done or omitted to be done wholly or partly in reliance upon the contents of the Website.

Website Content

SEI hereby reserves sole proprietary rights over all Website content that was not originally created by Website Users. This includes all non User-created text, graphics, photographs, logos, and other items that appear on the Website. SEI also reserves proprietary rights over the Website's template, including its layout and structure.

Citing Content on weADAPT or its microsites

Please refer to our FAQ for information on how to cite content found on weADAPT or its microsites. For formal articles published as peer-reviewed journals, please use the article's own citation; this is often included as a ’Suggested Citation’ in the bottom of the article. Please note that the text in weADAPT and microsite articles and case studies that are associated with uploaded publications very closely reflect the content of that publication; however, this text has often been edited from its original form. If you wish to quote text, please refer to the original text in the publication, not text in the weADAPT page of the article/case study.

Outside Content

SEI is not responsible for the content of external or third-party websites that may be accessible or displayed through external links on the Website. Navigating to outside websites through links on the Website is done at the sole risk of the User, and SEI expressly disclaims any liability for any content that appears on any external site.

Links to this website

The User may link to the Website provided the User does so in a way that indicates that the link is to the www.weadapt.org website or its microsites and is fair and not misleading. Users may not integrate or make use of all or part of the Website in ways that would confuse or mislead Users as to the nature and origin of the Website's content.
