ISAC

The Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) is part of the National Research Council (CNR). Over 200 staff members, postdoctoral researchers, and students conduct pure and applied research on atmospheric sciences and the climate system. Specific mission objectives are represented by the four divisions of the Institute that are oriented towards exerting a possibly unified research effort on the atmosphere and climate: Dynamic Meteorology, Climate Change, Earth Observations, Atmospheric Processes and a technical service structure: Field Facilities and Instrumentation.

In the CIRCE project the CNR co-coordinates Research Line 5 on the Water Cycle and is also involved in work in Research Line 4 (Scale Interactions and Feedback Processes), Research Line 6 (Extreme Events). as well as coordinating the Tuscany Case Study, part of Research Line 11.
