CIP-weADAPT integration continues with new dynamic visualisation of climate data
This month marks the launch of the new Climate Information Platform (CIP). In many ways the new platform has been a clean sheet redesign of many aspects of the old portal. One of the key changes has been the introduction of a new dynamic plotting engine. This allows for interactive plots that respond to user input and allow for far more effective communication of the underlying data. And as an added bonus, the same plots are now available within the weADAPT Adaptation Layer climate station placemarks, alongside adaptation projects. This is one more step towards the goal of sharing relevant information between the two platforms their target audiences. There is much more to come in the next few months - watch this space!
Some functionality is not yet available, specifically access to data downloads. If you still need this functionality you can still access the old portal at the original address: http://cip.csag.uct.ac.za/webclient/
