Description of project

PACT was applied to help companies assess their strategic exposure to climate change, analyze their resilience or vulnerable, and identify possible projects which offer win-win outcomes and accelerated strategic learning so as to build a routemap towards sharp strategies for change. Within the UK, PACT has helped companies identify what level of performance they need to attain to take into account possible climate risks, pinpoint where they currently stand, and map out the practical actions that can help them address extreme events. At the core of this approach is the strategic capacity building that offers a unique insight into the main issues, opportunities and risks presented by climate change and a framework to help shape sustained changes in organisational and individual behaviour.

Update

Since 2013 PACT has been rebranded as Climate Capacity Diagnosis & Development. The CaDD service has been provided and developed by Climate Sense and Trioss. New developments have predominantly been in 2 key areas:

  1. Identifying systemic interdependencies more effectively to identify “hot spots” where capacity development will have greatest impact (higher capacity isn’t needed everywhere all of the time)
  2. Gaining a deeper understanding and capturing new behaviours that are emerging, particularly from high capacity organisations that are innovating and mainstreaming new practice.
