WECSZ is an independent, not-for-profit charitable organisation established in 1953. The organisation has three core objectives: 1) To promote and assist with the conservation of the natural diversity of Zambia’s flora and fauna and to work for the maintenance, in balance with the needs of mankind, of a range of habitats to support this diversity; 2) To initiate and sustain environmental education projects and activities for the youth of Zambia and, where considered appropriate, to support such activities by other properly constituted bodies. 3) To form a focus and provide a channel for the consideration, expression or distribution of information and opinion relating to the whole natural environment of Zambia.
