Tel Aviv University (TAU) - Israel's largest and most comprehensive institution of higher learning - is home to over 30,000 students studying in nine faculties and over 125 schools and departments across the spectrum of sciences, humanities and the arts.
TAU hosts the Porter School of Environmental Studies, which offers exciting opportunities to study diverse subjects, such as renewable energy, climate change, pollution and river rehabilitation, environmental justice, sustainable urban planning and environmental economics. The Porter School has long placed an emphasis on working with environmental NGOs, businesses and the government to disseminate environmental knowledge and contribute to public and professional debate.
TAU also hosts the Center for Renewable Energy, which servers as a platform as well as a supportive environment for Tel Aviv University researchers who are trying to meet energy challenges by developing new technologies. TAU has 55 research groups working in the field of renewable energy, comprising over 300 researchers across seven faculties: Exact Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Law, Management, Social Sciences, Humanities with many of these working within the framework of the Porter School of Environmental Studies.
