SHEAR

blue and green s with SHEAR in black next to Science for Humanitarian Emergencies and Resilience

The aim of this programme was to improve disaster risk assessment and forecasting, disaster risk monitoring and the integration of these into practical decision-making in low to middle income countries across sub-Saharan Africa and south Asia. It ran from 2015-2022.

SHEAR carried out innovative research in the most hazard-prone parts of the world to better understand and predict disasters and minimise the risk they pose to vulnerable communities.
