This is a new Initiative based out of the University of Oxford involving research, policy advice and education aimed at increasing the implementation of Nature-based Solutions through the application of science. We are a group based in Oxford and London, including natural and social scientists, and partnered with NGOs from the conservation and development sector. Current work focuses on collating scientific information on Nature-based Solutions for climate change adaptation and making this more accessible to decision makers through this platform. We also assess the role of Nature-based Solutions in climate change policy, with a focus on the adaptation plans of all signatories of the Paris Agreement. The goal is to facilitate the process by which climate pledges are revised and to scale up the role of Nature-based Solutions.
