Istituto Agrario San Michele all'Adige

Established in 1990, the Istituto Agrario San Michele all'Adige (IASMA) promotes and carries out research, scientific experiments, education and training activities, and provides technical assistance and services to companies. These activities aim at promoting cultural and socio-economical growth in the agricultural sector and the safeguard of the territory of the Trentino region.

IASMA’s current main activities are

  • Centre for agricultural studies and training: this Centre is a complex academic structure, the only one of its kind in Italy, which organises studies and training in the fields of agriculture, environment and forestry.
  • Research centre and a production sector
  • Europe Direct Trentino

Europe Direct information relay acts as an interface between citizens and the Union. IASMA is the hosting organisation of this EU information centre since 1997.

IASMA and E-VitiClimate

Within the E-VitiClimate consortium, IASMA will be in charge of supporting DIPSA during the adaptation of module 2 to the Italian vineyard specificities. It will also bring its expertise concerning the educational methods used in both modules and on the website during the specification and the validation phase of the project. IASMA will use its expertise in professional training to validate the platform and the training modules, checking the content understandability and the attractiveness of the educational methods, and to disseminate actively the project results. It will organise a pilot training in order to present the training to at least 10 technicians. IASMA will provide support to users once the website is online.
