The IAMFN (or RIABM from its Spanish name) is a network supported internationally, which work is concentrated in the promotion of good management practices of natural resources, linking different territories with a single objective: promoting the sustainable management of the natural resources in the Model Forests.
With the collaboration of prestigious institutions such as the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Canadian cooperation agency CUSO, the network has accomplished bringing together 14 countries that believe in the concept of Model Forests as a strategy to reach sustainable development.
