Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano is a private not-for-profit organization committed to promote constructive dialogue, strengthen citizen, political and institutional capacities, and articulate processes towards sustainable development in Latin America.
The Earth Summit (Rio '92) evidenced that, in its quest for sustainability, Latin America needed to work towards three major goals: (i) Strengthen leadership in the region in its transformation towards sustainability; (ii) to generate, amongst the region’s leaders, long-term visions to replace short-sighted programs; (iii) to develop a culture of dialogue in order to overcome obstacles and manage conflict hindering sustainable development. In February 1994, Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano (FFLA) was created as a response to the need of achieving these goals.
