The Latin American Center for Environmental Studies (CELEAM) was born in 2013 as a program of the Mexican Organization for the Conservation of the Environment OMCA, a non-profit civil association. Currently we operate independently, with headquarters and legal personality in Colombia and Mexico. CELEAM is an environmental training platform focused on capacity development, and aims to facilitate the generation and dissemination of knowledge and learning processes about the environment and sustainable development in Latin America.
Objectives:
- Provide solidarity training through a virtual platform that allows training, interaction and linking people from different countries.
- Promote citizen participation in environmental policies through the strengthening of social capacities and the generation of spaces to achieve environmental governance within the framework of sustainable development.
- Generate face-to-face awareness and training spaces that encourage the development of skills and abilities for environmental conservation and sustainable development in Latin America.
