ACNR is a Rwandan non-governmental membership association (around 150 members) founded by students and teachers of the National University of Butare (today’s Huye – Southern Rwanda) in 1992. The organization has worked its way up and we are now running conservation projects all over Rwanda, are coaching around 13 school- and community-based Wildlife Clubs and are actively involved in environmental lobbying in the country.
Our mission: To promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable use in Rwanda.
ACNR is the official affiliate of BirdLife International in Rwanda and works together with prominent international environmental institutions such as IUCN, ARCOS, CARPE etc.
Keep up to date with ACNR on our Facebook page.
