(AASTMT) as a regional institute for maritime transport started as a notion in the Arab League Transport Committee's meetings on 11th of March, 1970. Arab Academy concerns with the prevention and combating marine oil pollution using ship handling simulator, radar simulator, GIS and database modeling centers. Among their missions, they contribute to address and define the impact of human activities and climate change on the coastal zone of Mediterranean and Red Sea
