Robert has presented at international water conferences hosted by the International Water Association, Amsterdam International Water Week, American Water Works Association and The Water Show Africa.

As a geologist, he has also graduated in Economics and Finance and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies (including Antarctic field research on the Ross Ice Shelf) and a Master of International Law and Politics
