Portia Adade Williams

Research Scientist

Portia is a Research Scientist with the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Ghana and currently a PhD candidate at University of Cape Town, South Africa with the Climate Systems Analysis Group (CSAG) of the Environmental and Geographical Sciences Department. She is a fellow of Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) and was a Research Fellow under the Climate Impact Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Programme for Sub Saharan Africa (January 2016 – December 2016). Her research interests focus on climate impact and adaptation in agricultural systems as well as socio economic and innovation studies. She aims to broaden her network for collaborative research into emerging issues related to climate variability, change and adaptation in Africa.
