Julia Barrott

I manage and curate content for and support the development of the weADAPT platform, and help to foster current and new collaborations with internal and external partners (so please do get in touch if you want to know more about weADAPT!) As a researcher I am involved in SEI’s initiatives on Climate Servicesthe EU H2020 PLACARD project and the KE4CAP project amongst others. Currently I am focused on knowledge exchange and brokering and the development of ontologies and technologies to transform online knowledge management for enhanced learning, collaboration and coordination on climate action. I also assist the Knowledge Management Director at SEI and am involved in the development of a 'Travel Tracker' tool aimed at aiding researchers and practitioners to reduce their carbon footprint.

I hold a masters degree in Environmental Geoscience from Imperial College London and a DPhil in Earth Sciences (past climate reconstruction) from the University of Oxford. I joined SEI in September 2015 in order to pursue a research path relevant to sustainable development and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
