My name is Jonas Wolterstorff and I have a undergraduate degree in European Studies and a Masters degree in Sustainable Development. Evidently, I am a generalist, given that both these subjects combine at least 3 different disciplines. During both of these, I was getting frustrated about the lack of relevance being given to individuals and psychological decision-making patterns. Systems are mostly looked at as complete entities without looking at their components and their relationships. The Classic Scientific Approach (aka Newtonian Approach) that established analysis and fragmentation as common practice for inquiry prevents us from acknowledging complexity and applying synthesis as mode of knowledge acquisition.
Coming from this place of Systems Thinking and Complexity Studies, I am excited by everything systemic and comprehensive, i.e. Social Change, Social Design, Social Entrepreneurship, Collective Impact, Environmental/Science/Technological Communication and Theories of Change.
