Tharcisse Ndayizigiye

Mr Tharcisse Ndayizigiye holds a MSc in sustainable Development, option Water, Environment and Food security, with more than 16 years working experience in consulting businesses. His areas of interest are Water Resources Assessment, Planning and Management and community based Climate resilience and Adaptation.

Tharcisse has an extensive experience in project management and administration, analysis of knowledge gaps and needs in an  environmental country policies connected to societal challenges. In previous missions, he has been responsible for the development and coordination of international capacity-building initiatives on Climate Change. Beyond the training program administration and management, the assignments included also evaluation of projects applications and mentorship along with projects implementation.

Tharcisse is originally from Burundi (East Africa) and has a vast experience of climate and environmental work in developing countries, such as Burundi and Rwanda in Eastern Africa, and Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Togo in West Africa. Through projects monitoring and mentorship, he has been in regular contact with many trainees and institutions working on climate, water and agriculture.

Tharcisse is fluent in French, English, Swedish, and understands Swahili.
