Introduction

The CARE Climate and Resilience Academy is a unique learning platform for both trainers & trainees. The platform aims to give people the necessary knowledge to understand resilience and climate change so that they are better able to tackle its causes and consequences, and provide trainers with tools to facilitate the training of others.

CARE’s definition of resilience: the capacity to deal with shocks and stresses, manage risk and transform lives and systems in response to new hazards. In the concept of resilience, we take into account all types of shocks or stresses: geophysical, meteorological, economic, political, social, technological or health and how they are influenced by climate change.
