Survey: Understanding how Europe can can influence environmental and socio-economic development in the

Are you from a developing country with expertise in the following fields: policy and decision makers, public officials, experts, professionals, scholars, private enterprises, social enterprises, community leaders and representatives of citizen organisations, expert citizens, not for profit, Charities, NGOs, advocacy organisations? If so, IIED-Europe invites you to kindly complete a survey and give your input!

They are launching a horizon scanning project to identify research priorities to better understand how Europe — its policies, institutions, enterprises and banks, and its countries and citizens — can influence environmental and socio-economic development in developing countries, i.e the global South. The outcomes of this exercise will inform research objectives and plans for research organisations in both the EU and developing countries and policy making processes in Europe and in developing countries. It will provide decision-makers with timely support to help maximise positive impacts (and minimise negative impacts) of European policymaking processes on developing countries. In particular, the project aims to involve experts from developing countries, least developed countries, middle income countries and emerging economies.

The online survey can be found in English, French or Spanish here. The deadline for completing the survey is March 28, 2022.
