Join us at CBA17: coming in May!

Mark your calendars if you haven’t already because the 17th International Conference on Community-Based Adaptation to Climate Change (CBA17) is coming, and we’re meeting in person! The conference will take place on 22-25 May 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, with registration opening in early March.

We’re very excited to be gathering in person for the first time since 2019, where we’ll be focussed on networking, reconnecting, and strengthening our understanding of locally-led adaptation. We’re offering participants four days of discussion, debate, training and knowledge exchange. At CBA17 you can expect fantastic thematic workshops, skill-shares, the marketplace and short films – and we’re bringing back the very popular Dragons’ Den!

Our themes this year are:

  • Nature-based solutions
  • Climate finance
  • Youth driving locally led adaptation
  • Innovation
  • Decolonising climate action (This is a new theme at CBA and we are still articulating the focus. You can share your thoughts on what this theme could include using the expression of interest form).
Submit your expression of interest

CBA’s agenda is shaped by its participants. If you are interested in hosting a thematic workshop or a skill-share (or both!), submit your expression of interest form and our programming team will be in touch. Participant-led connection is what makes CBA different.
