How would you improve the Wikipedia article on DRR ?

Dear all,

I am looking for inputs from experts on DRR who are members of the Disasters and Climate Change theme on weADAPT.

A group of us have been working on the Wikipedia article on this topic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster_risk_reduction.

The review of this Wikipedia article is part of a 4-year project from 2020 to 2024 funded by Formas, a Swedish government research council, to improve Wikipedia articles which relate to Sustainable Development Goal 13. We are a team of experienced WP editors and topic experts and our project website is available here.

Currently the DRR article gets around 150 pageviews per day and is related to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 among others. This makes it important to review and improve it, and we would like your expert opinion for this.

Would you be interested in taking a look at DRR and giving us feedback, for us to know what is missing, out of date or incorrect?

Any feedback could be sent either by e-mail (for example by using a marked-up Word version of the article) or during a video call. We can can do the editing work of incorporating your suggestions into the Wikipedia article. You can choose to either be an anonymous reviewer (like for academic journal papers) or have your name listed in the revision history page or the talk page. Your name will also be shown on the project page here if you like.

Please get back to me, Richard Taylor by email at [email protected]. Alternatively, please leave any quick comments here in the Forum.

Best,

Richard
