Melting Glaciers- Climate Change

In Khumjung village high up in the Nepal Himalayas, villagers are struggling to find fresh supplies of water now that glaciers have melted. This short video highlights these problems and the dilemmas that these communities face.

Glacier melting has been the most visible impact of climate change. Himalaya is source of water for major seven rivers of Asia. The melting of galciers is expected to increase run-off and floods at earlier stage followed by reduced run-off and water shoratge later.
